Working with vendors
The Centre works directly with vendors too, though has no fixed or exclusive contracts with any of them but rather uses what is needed on a pragmatic basis.
“We evaluate new technology here so the manufacturer isn’t taking any risk,” O’Driscoll said. “We’re testing it in a neutral way and not advocating any specific technology,” though the centre has forged good links with firms such as Roche, Waters, and Endress and Hauser.
