12,000 teaching days last year
NIBRT’ Chairman Brendan O’Callaghan – whose day job sees him as VP of Biologics at MSD (known as Merck & Co. in North America) – told Biopharma-Reporter.com the Institute provides “everything in a scale-down model that you would find in an industrial facility, and also has laboratories with very rich analytical equipment which allows you to fingerprint or characterise the quality of the biopharmaceutical compounds you’re dealing with.”
A thousand people were trained in 2012, and this number doubled last year with 12,000 learning days occurring on site.
