Chiltern has named Jim Esinhart its new CEO to replace Glenn Kerkof.
Kerkof steps down after six years in the role to become partner at Czura Thornton – Chiltern’s parent company. He will also remain on Chiltern’s board.
Esinhart, previouslt the firm’s senior executive VP of global scientific services has also been with the contract research organisation (CRO) for six years.
Kerkhof said: “And I very much look forward to contributing to Chiltern’s future as a member of the Board based in the Asia Pacific region.”
Esinhart added: “I am excited by the momentum we have at Chiltern, by the strength of our team, the depth of our client partnerships and by the development opportunities we see.”
Novasep has announced that its founder and CEO Roger-Marc Nicoud will step down to become a non-executive chairman of the board.
In his place is Patrick Glaser who has been in charge of the Novasep Synthesis division since May 2010.
The move comes as the result of a shareholder decision to re-shuffle the firm’s governance.
Nicoud said: "As the founder of Novasep and having managed the firm for over 20 years, I think it is the right time for a change in the company's leadership.
“In a short period of time, our new shareholders have demonstrated their commitment to support the growth of our business by endorsing significant investment, so that we are in a position to take full advantage of our unique leadership in purification technologies.”
Emergent Technologies has been named president Kris Looney and Brian Windsor has become executive VP and director of life sciences.
Looney was previously the president of several of Emergent’s portfolio companies. Windsor served in managing role for ten of the portfolio companies.
“As a result of Emergent's recent and continuing success and growth, it is an appropriate time to appoint a new president,” said Thomas Harlan, Emergent CEO.
Abelson Taylor has promoted Mary Clare Mooney to the role of account co-ordinator.
Previously, Mooney worked as an account manager for campaigns in oncology and endocrinology.
Former account co-ordinator Samantha Hickey has become account executive.
AllOut Marketing has hired graphic designer Sheena Stuart to its creative team and Eva Caruso as a marketing and traffic manager.
“Demand for digital design services is growing, and our clients are turning to us for fresh ideas,” said Ruth Lane, founder and president of AllOut Marketing.
Cambridge BioMarketing (CB) has drafted in Michael Gatti as creative director.
He joins the communications agency, which focused on orphan and specialty pharmaceuticals, from The Barbarian Group where he served in the same role.
