West adds 1ml Daikyo Crystal Zenith syringe
West has launched the Daikyo Crystal Zenith 1ml long insert needle syringe system to meet demand for break-resistant delivery options.
Daikyo Crystal Zenith, a cyclic olefin polymer developed by Daikyo Seiko, is used to manufacture the delivery system. Using a break-resistant material that ensures the stability of the drug makes the system suitable for the safe, effective delivery of biologics.
“In view of recent market recalls caused by glass breakage, delamination and particles, this product provides a timely solution to problems that could adversely affect the health of patients”, said Graham Reynolds, VP, marketing and innovations, pharmaceutical delivery systems.
West manufactures the product at its site in Scottsdale, Arizona, US.
