Monitoring spatial product temperature variation is critical to process development and scale-up in the pharma/bio-pharmaceutical industry. While using wired thermocouples is considered standard practice, they are often limited to laboratory environments.
Low power battery-free, wireless, multi-point temperature sensors for aseptic process monitoring are presented. The sensors are wirelessly powered and utilize shared channel low power communication protocols for high scalability (232 nodes). Moreover, multi-sensing capability of the sensors allows users to measure product thermal gradients.
